RAIL TRAIL. BRUSHING CAUTION – On Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 12th & 13th, we will be brushing the sides of the Rail Trail treadpath. Tentatively Tuesday will be Slocan Park to Crescent Valley and Wednesday from Slocan Park to Slocan Lake and back. This will involve a large tractor with a circular side blade that will be knocking back the side vegetation a meter beyond where we can mow. This will decrease trail intrusion of organic matter and increase visibility. The machine is loud, so it is hard for the operator to hear ia anyone approaches. Debris may fly in any direction. Please try to avoid using the Trail on these days. PLEASE do NOT try to come up behind the machine and attempt to pass it, as you can be putting yourself and the operator at great risk. Thanks for your understanding.
