Ron Mulvey has been actively painting the Canadian Landscape since 1980. His landscapes are done in watercolours, acrylics, and oils. He now resides in the Slocan Valley and you can see his work at the Riverstone Gallery which is located 6 minutes from the Slocan Valley Rail Trail in Passmore. Ron can be seen sketching along the rail trail throughout all the seasons. Many of his paintings depict the pristine appeal of the landscapes along the trail. You are welcome to visit his studio by appointment.
Robin DuPont is a full time studio potter and ceramic educator specializing in atmospheric firing – a process that reveals unique and exquisite tones, surfaces and effects on his ceramic work. Tour his vintage 1959 Flying Cloud airstream trailer that has been retrofitted into a show space and mobile gallery and choose from a selection of functional and decorative pieces including, mugs, teapots, dinnerware, fermentation crocks and more.
From a menu which includes wraps, sandwiches, soups, evening meals as well as speciality drinks; to a glass-enclosed dining area that transforms into a garden in the summer months, this unique coffee shop/cafe is open every day of the week and is a feast for the senses.
Located on the edge of Winlaw, we feature local music as well as hosting traveling performers. In the winter the large skating rink behind the restaurant makes for an ideal Canadian winter experience. In the summer music events take place in our outdoor patio – complete with a stunning view of the Slocan Valley.
